Open Question: How to narrow down a list of colleges to apply to?

Soon starting sr year, these applications cost so I need to narrow this list down. If anyone has knowledge on any of these schools it'd help a lot! I live in texas and am working on an international baccalaureate diploma and am looking for some credits and advanced standing. I'm interesred in journalism/media and also dance. I may go after a double major, minor, or go for a dance team.
